Beautiful Peacock and Love Today Planner

One thing I love about a new calendar year is organizing myself with a fun new planner. The Love Today Planner is STUNNING!! It’s a beautiful hard covered binder in a beautiful navy and gold foil design. The corners are reinforced to keep their shape. Oh my the pages are a heavy paper that you can do soo much with.

The key to assembling this Planner is to begin the year on Monday, which happens to be January 1st and use every day in the weekly sheets for a day. You may have some of the beginning of February under the January tab.

I decided that I wanted to add the Beautiful Peacock Stamp to the one side of the week and use the feathers as a background on the other side.

As I was testing the weight of the paper to see what the paper would hold without bleeding through I used the Stamp n Write Markers. As this was a brand new stamp set the trick is to clean the stamp first with the Stampin scrub otherwise the ink won’t lay right on the stamp. * cough I tried without first cough* Using the brush side of the marker rub it over the design. For the body I used Pacific Point. Hugged on the stamp to activate the ink and stamped in my chosen spot. And this is the best part to Stamp first.

PLEASE NOTE: I drew in vertical lines to separate my weekly days into three sections using a journaling pen.

For the back feathers I used the same technique. I began with Soft Safron on the bottom of the stamp, then added a small amount of Pear Pizzaz and then finished it off on top with Island Indigo. Breath on the stamp and to best line it up look for the two spots for the legs at the bottom. I found this easier than trying to line up the neck.

Using a post it to mask the edges of my navy polka dot page lining I then stamped the long feathers in Island Indigo.

On the next page I just added the background design in so saffron right in the center of the page. You could do this or you could Stamp more peacocks or leave the page blank as well.

To pull in a bit more color I also added some Washi tape along the top of each page again stopping at the polka dot print. I have a big stash of Washi tape and believe this is a retired tape 🙁

Hope you have a much fun as I do
